The new designs in the Kayaking industry have made these vessels more sturdy & much more user friendly. We have the traditional hand paddle models. We have the new foot peddle, mirage drive models & we also have electric powered models to rent or purchase. We also have a kayak friendly launch for those who bring their own kayaks.

Our shop is sponsored by Massey’s Sporting Goods of New Orleans & Hobie Kayaks. This means we always have the newest & most up to date models for our customers to demo for a few minutes or to rent for a day. While we have 8 different models to choose from, calling ahead to reserve your kayak is recommended.

All that is needed to rent a Kayak is a major credit card.  A guardian’s signature is required for persons 12 & under. We supply life vest, paddle, anchor with 15’ of rope & gear box with the Kayak rental.

• Dry clothes to change into after a day on the water.
• Dry bag for your cell phone, wallet & other personal items you wish to keep dry.
• Small ice chest or soft sided cooler bag (this works best) to keep drinks & snacks in. Bring plenty of water, kayaking is very easy, but will dehydrate you.
• Camera, you never know what you will see.
• Towels, Compass, Insect Repellent
• Water Shoes, in case you should turn over. The water bottoms of south Louisiana are covered with oyster shells and they can be very sharp.
